Blue Skirt
This skirt is made with the same rib knit as the tunic and is a coordinate along with the sleeveless top. Beautiful drape and breathes wonderfully.
Blue Sleeveless Top
This really does look better worn. But it does have a lot of room and ends just below the hips. Very flattering! Along with the Blue Skirt it is 100% cotton rib knit and great for summer wear here in Phoenix, AZ. One must have cool clothes to survive here in 110 degrees!

Blue Tunic
One of my projects! It is a tunic and ends just below the knee. It looks a lot better on me than on a hanger or laid out. The front is cut deep, so I wear a cami or shirt under it. It is made of 100% cotton rib knit and drapes beautifully. Perfect for Phoenix autumn and winter weather.
Silk Jacket
This is the jacket. I'm really proud of this. It's not the hardest or the most detailed I've done, but it did require a lot of attention to detail! White silk with rayon lining and cotton jaquard trim, frog closure
Silk Skirt
This is the suit skirt. It has a back zip closure, back vent and is fully lined with rayon bemberg. The cotton waist and trim is the same as the jacket and shell.
White Silk Suit
This is one of my favorites! I really love this suit. It is white (almost ivory) silk diupioni with a rayon lining and cotton jaquard trim and frog closures. I would charge around $350 for this suit on commission. I saw a similar one in a store for $980 at an outlet mall! And, that was only the jacket and skirt. The shell for this suit which is same fabric as the trim is 100% jaquard cotton and BLACK. It was one of those fabrics that was calling me. I soon found a purpose for it. Along with the silk.
Black Cotton Shell
This is 100% cotton jacquard. The fabric was also used in the skirt and jacket to tie the whole suit together. The shell does work on its own, but really finishes the suit. This is couture quality cotton and I just love it!
Kate's New Dress
This is the dress I completed 12/14/05. Even now I am not sure if the pattern is navy and white or black and white. The color changes in different lighting. A simple sheath dress with a zipper and darts. See, even larger women can wear close fitting clothing and look good in them! I think it's beautiful.
Another View
This is a side view of the dress and me in my sewing room. I am well pleased with this project because it shows off all the right curves in a very attractive way. The next step is a bolero jacket in charcoal or navy with 3/4 sleeves.
Red Gauze Shirt

This is my second attempt on this
pattern.  This time I made it the right
size and it fits wonderfully.
It is a simple construction in red
embroidered cotton gauze.  Very nice
and comfortable!
Coffee Theme Tote
I made this purse for myself! It combines my two favorite passions, coffee and sewing! I found this delightful print at one of the fabric online stores and thought I had to have it with its bright happy colors! I found a coordinating coffee print and used a tan lining inside. I also have detachable pockets and a key fob inside the bag. Somehow Phoebe got in the picture!
Novelty T
This is a juvenile and fun print I found in my closet! This soft and smooth knit is very comfortable and only took 3 hours. A very nice casual piece with front shoulder pleats and back shoulder darts. The neck is finished with a self binding and double needle hems. And the star is the whimiscal print!
Betty Boop Purse
This lovely handbag was made for one of my Betty Boop fans. She liked my coffee purse and wanted one of the same style. After asking what she liked, she chose the fabric from some fat quarters I had and could order. That's a real bamboo handle, dyed (not painted) black.
Maneki Neko
Now, this is a specialty item. I made this for a woman in England who collects maneki neko. She sent me a picture of a similar purse and I made hers based on that photo and other information I could gather about these Japanese good luck cats. This is a tiny thing, no more than 9 inches tall. His charm more than makes up for his dimunitive stature. I used a sequined fabric for the base, rayon lining and hand applied the sequins to define the eyes, spots and other details. Both the customer and I am very proud of this one.
Toucan Tote
This was made for a lady who loves birds. The toucans were in my voluminous stash and upon seeing the picture of it and other bird fabrics I had she chose this one. It's a rather large tote, 17 by 14 inches and with pockets and sections. Order your own special handbag or tote today!
Mum's Tote
I made this one for my mother. Since she is quite ill and requires the use of either a walker or wheelchair I made this handy and attractive tote for her. I used the same pattern as my coffee tote, but added two more straps so Mum can secure it to a walker or sling it over her wheelchair handles. It also features two exterior pockets, one interior pocket, a loop for securing a water bottle or cup and comfortable padded handles.
