Phoebe's Family
Here are some pictures of Phoebe's brothers and sisters. All were adopted
from unpleasant places and came to live in the lap of luxury (either mine
or Jeff's). No one is allowed in the Studio or the Forbidden Closet, they
don't like that one bit...however, it ensures your purchase is fur-free. You
can see more pictures on Webshots, look for albums by

Buster Taken By Surprise
This is Buster Bunny. He took the opportunity of my failure to put up the gate and explore the bedroom. He was helping with the carpet removal process by chewing on it. I quickly escorted him to his room and put the gate in front of his doorway so we could limit the damage to both the bunny and carpet. Buster and Hershey have their own room and are allowed to go onto the enclosed patio. The rest of the house is FORBIDDEN to them because they chew everything! But, they get lots of love from Jeff and me.
Buster and Hershey
Here's a picture of Hershey's first day. Buster was so distraught and destructive after Ginger died, we had to get him a new wife. As with Buster, I adopted Hershey from Brambley Hedge Rabbit Rescue here in Phoenix. I first introduced them at the adoption center, where they got along wonderfully. Hershey fell in love with Buster (who's twice her size) almost instantly! However, when I got them both home, Buster decided he was not so much in love. We got them acquainted in one of the bathrooms because it was neutral territory. After a couple of scuffles and two days Hershey was able to move into the Bunny Room with Buster. They are inseparable trouble makers now.

Hershey
This is Hershey Bar, so named because of her beautiful chocolate brown fur. She is a 3 pound mini-bun of undetermined parentage. Hershey is a sweet and friendly rabbit and totally devoted to Buster. This was taken on the day she came home with us. Buster had to be removed because he was nipping and scratching her. Fortunately, that was soon over and they now live happily together, causing trouble and chewing anything unguarded.
Lucy And Sophie
This is Lucy and one of her kittens, Sophie. From this angle one cannot see white face (we called her Hockey Mask because of the white area's shape and position on Sophie's head) which later turned orange. Sadly, Sophie is no longer with us. Her brothers (she was the only girl in the litter of 5) were given to good homes.
Lucy The Wild One
This is Lucy and her personality is as intense as her gaze. She is not truly wild, Lucy lives with us but only grudgingly accepts that she shares the house with other cats. And, two are her babies! Apparently, "muted calico" does not mean muted personality.
Mao On The Entertainment Center
This is Mao, one of Lucy's babies. He likes high up places and soft things. My sister named him because she did not think "Shy Socks" was a good choice. Mao was the last kitten of his litter to try anything. He is totally devoted to his brother Eddy from the same litter and usually the two get photographed together.
Mao On The Patio
This is Mao on the patio. Seems like whenever we clean or start a project, he has to be there. I'm not sure if he's supervising or just getting in the way. He is one of Lucy's kittens.
Napping Beaver
This is Beaver (aka "The Old Man") engaging in one of his favorite activities, napping. The other is eating. He is 16 years old and a little intolerant of the other cats who interrupt his nap. But, he will let Eddy or Mao nap with him on occasion. Beaver is Lord of the House and Strict Enforcer of Dinner Time.
Phoebe, Mao and Beaver
Phoebe (black), Mao (yellow, in the background) and Beaver (orange, in the foreground) relaxing on the patio as we were getting some things out of the house to donate or store. Note, I am not encouraging Phoebe to use the chair as a scratching post, I just happened to catch her in the act. That particular chair also seems to be a favorite scratching post. I replaced it with a nice, new, actual scratching post.
Sleepy Kitties
The yellow one is Mao and the gray one is Eddy. The two are very good friends and brothers from the same litter. We usually find them together and I'm not sure if I have any pictures of Eddy alone. They are from Lucy's first litter. Lucy has since been spayed to avoid any more kittens. This was taken on a laundry day and everyone (except me) justs loves laundry day!
The Boys
In the back is Eddy (gray) and Mao. Those two are brothers from the same litter. In the foreground is Beaver (who is 16 years old and cranky). These boys are doing what cats do best...napping! To bad there was no room for me to nap.
